Send a picture if you can so we can identify it.

Generally the ground post is obviously a stud direct into the casing and leaves two terminals on an insulated strip. The larger is "D" and the smaller "F". I'm assuming though its the usual Morris configuration where the dynamo is driven by, and the tensioner for, the timing chain.

Hence it is essential that the necessarily substantial dynamo nose bearing is in good order. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
