Looking backwards from the transfer case. What is missing from the RHS? And also the large cross member further back, was that were the PTO winch would have travelled?

And lastly, what everyone has been waiting for. Sorry, no news to report on the directional tyres. I got home to late to make the call tonight so it will have to wait another day.

Ryan, sometimes when you take the plate on the dash off you can just read the stamping from the other side (reversed). Also all C15As were fitted with the cross member to which a winch was bolted, but they weren't fitted with the large square side mounts found on the sides of the chassis rails.

The other bit that is missing on the RHS is the original muffler. That is the bracket you can see.

Ryan,
Well done!
The tray looks like a Blitz tray with the front moved forward and a bit added in. You'll should be able to cut out the add-in and move the headboard back to the proper place. A spare tyre carrier and tool box will be your next want, I guess. We will all keep an eye out those bits for you.
regards Rick

Thanks Rick, very kind of you. Will have to head back down the Otways soon and get some closer pics of things I may need too.
No puppy yet Plushy!
The tyres are 9.00x16 and there was only 5 available. Sorry guys but I've snapped the lot up as I've also talked myself into buying a Dodge weapons carrier. If anything changes you'll hear it here.

What, you're not going to try to pinch them out from under his nose just for the sport of it?

I am mortified that you would think such of me. For a newby like Ryan to pick up 5 directionals, depends what their condition is of course, is a pretty good effort. Good onya Ryan.

Picked up the tyres and the dodge earlier today. Here are some pics. The first gives an idea of their new condition.

The man I bought them from is a Vietnam Vet, real nice bloke. Purchased originally as spares for the dodge weapons carrier, they stayed in his shed and were never to be used.
Here is a close up of the shipping info relating to Bandiana still attached to most tyres.

It reads:
job 0132/AU
The chief ordnance officer
No.1 central ordnance depot
Bandiana Via Melbourne
Australia
OHMS

Default sunshine roof

Hey Ryan nice find, word of warning before you gas axe the bracket of the front of the roof, take a pic for the rest of us as I suspect it's a original compass mount. Most mounts I have seen have been cut off as it looks like a post war add on. Picture please.

Hey salesman would 11.00x20 chevrons do the job?

There's something inherently sinister about the fact that 'Ben' is appearing in almost every photo these days... be afraid, be very afraid...

Default Tyres

Hi Euan
Thanks for the offer but they must be 10.50x20 directionals as per the original specifications. I'll find them.
