| An incredible movie

The quality of the original I copied this from was unfortunately apalling and as far as I know there is no other copy available - but the content is quite fascinating. A C60L cab 13 was used in these tests of some sort of water bladder. The truck was put on rails and winched up a hill, being let go at different speeds to see how the bladder performed. In this, the final test it was run into the barrier at 30MPH with a spectacular crash. In the slowmo version later in the clip you can see what a lethal weapon the steering wheel becomes as it is literally propelled into the cabin. So you can see even a seatbelt wouldn't save you in a head-on which brings to mind the unfortunate FGT crash in the UK. Take a look. The file is about 3.1Mb and is in Quicktime format, the player can be downloaded from the Apple site.

My F15 (under it's own power) would have calved that wall up & bladder would have arrived safe at it's intended destination.
