Here are some photos that I took at the Canadian War Museum in July. What is the device in front of the TC’s position? It looks like an oversized pair of sunglasses.

The TC had a pair of IR searchlights that were attached to the commander's periscope but I didn't think they were that big. Could they be a non-spec set put in place for the display maybe?

Post Script Aug 27th.... It turns out after looking in Don Dingwall's book again I see that these were the correct IR lights used by the TC. They were attached to the commander's periscope mount for his use. These are the first reference pics I've seen though with the drivers windscreen fitted...
