Default CMHQ files related to C15TA

Gents,

Approx 1 year ago, I was asked if I had found any CMHQ files related to C15TA vehicles. I committed to looking for the files and posting the results.

Barry, I apologize that it has taken me so long to post this information.

I was able to find four files (that are currently available online) from various sections of CMHQ London.

The links are:

https://heritage.canadiana.ca/view/o...eel_t17894/728

https://heritage.canadiana.ca/view/o...eel_c5780/3979

https://heritage.canadiana.ca/view/o...eel_c5782/2748

https://heritage.canadiana.ca/view/o...eel_c5819/2859

These files also contain some information regarding White M3A1 Scout Cars as they also fell into the 15cwt Armd Personnel category.

Default Armoured Command Post version

Andrew Hills posted this on FB: "GM (Canada) 1945 Pilot-model of their Armoured Command Post (ACP) design based on the GM Armoured Truck. Despite its promise, the project was not taken forwards."

This project may have been the source of the C15TAs built without stowage boxes?

Our good MLU friend Ed Storey and I have shared experience with the 1980s version of this blackout enclosure on MLVW command post trucks. In our case, Mapping and Charting Establishment had standard SEV boxes in the beds of trucks. An interface like this laced around the exterior of the box and had a sort of "apron" that enclosed the clanky ladder and under the tailgate. The other end laced into a section of ordinary modular tent. Great minds think alike, only generations apart.

Attached is an image of the M35CDN MLVW SEV interface Terry mentioned connected to a modular tent.
