I spotted this RCAF 1941 Ford Marmon-Herrington airport crash tender last month just south of Whitehorse, Yukon. It is in amazingly good condition due to the semi-arrid Yukon climate. The engine appears to be the original and is not seized. Hopefully someone will rescue it and restore it. A nice piece of Canadian military history.

They used to litter the prairies. Every airfield in the CATP had one or two. Eventually they fell victim to the tanks rusting out.

I believe we have the chassis of one in our museum's dustbowl. |

			That is a Truck, 3-ton, 6x6, Crash Tender (Ford/Marmon-Herrington MM5-6) - see my web page http://www.mapleleafup.nl/marmonherr...truck_cdn.html

A very desirable vehicle, if you ask me! It is advertised twice, here is the other ad: http://www.kijiji.ca/v-heavy-trucks/...uck/1109487796
