Hello Svenn.

A few years back, a supply of original Canadian Army Formation water transfer decals surfaced here in Canada (red rectangular background surmounted by the gold maple leaf). The original company information was on the backing paper for them. Somebody in Ontario subsequently had new ones printed up covering all WW2 Cdn Div Formations. Somebody on the forum will likely let you know where they might still be available.

As for the units within each Cdn Army Formation, a number of people over the years have assembled detailed diagrams for them, identifying the appropriate numbering, colours and even down to the regiments involved. There are bound to be sites, or PDF files people will soon refer you to for this information.

Once you have narrowed down what unit/regiment you want to represent, specific detail markings will be a piece of cake.

So, in short, Svenn, dust off your decision making brain cells, you should be getting all sorts of great information. You will be getting loads of stuff to review!

Cheers,

David

Have a look at the following website for unit markings: http://home.cogeco.ca/~gdavidson1/1Army.html

If you don't find the decals, you may find that you have a talent for freehand painting.

Cheers!

Default hmmm

Hi thanks for the replies and link!!

I have no idea what to use - I dont believe there were any canadian troops in norway after the ww2, but I believe there were units that work together with norwegian troops in the UK. So if anyone has any info on which units these were some info would be great.

If not, I will mark it as a common infantery unit-perhaps something from the european scenery? please help me out guys...I have read the article and on my way. Does anyone have pics of Cmp's with markings so I know where to have the different markings?

Svenn

Hi guys - found a vendour that can produce these decals for me.

Just making a long shot - would this combination be correct for: 1st Canadian Infantry Division Troops Company

And what would a appropriate Census number for my December 43 C15A be?

I have tried to read different post, but I

I believe it should start of with CZ44........and something?
