| Aust Trailer I.D.

Could some information be obtained on this 1953 2 wheel trailer. What it was used for, what may have towed it, what capacity ? It appeared to have a flat deck with holes drilled to support an engine, also a drain hole for the engine oil change. Thanks Jim S.

Well Jim, it looks as though my advice to ask on the forum has borne no fruit. It must be a tough call if neither of the Mikes can answer the question. David

Theres one the same here in Yass that I had a bit to do with in its restoration. We've been told it was a generator trailer with a hard top canopy and canvas sides.

These trailers have been dealt with previously on MLU. There is a thread on here with all the variations of the Mac Co 1953 Aust trailers from a couple of years back, but all of those search terms are too short for the search function! The thread remains hidden in time. |

| My Search yeilded to many posts - But may be

Hi All Yes, the MLU search feature sometimes doesn't yield the results looked for put here is what I found with an alternative search method: http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=17210 http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/ar...p/t-17299.html http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/ar...php/t-446.html The alternative search on the words "Aust trailers" instead of yielding no post yields 2360 post on MLU for those words. To do a detailed search of MLU go into google type in your key words hit search it will come up with a long list from all over the web then click on the little gear upper right corner click on the gear and select advance search. You will then see a expanded search options look down the page until you see "site or domain" insert http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums then hit Advanced Search. You can play with your search words or search phrase more in this method of search. Cheers Phil
