I am in the process of restoring a C15 wireless van ( aust ) and have a rear door with out a locking mechanism .

I am not sure what GMH used as the original lock but it was not a lock similar to the front doors or a lock out of a chev cab ( USA ) . Has anyone in Aust been down this path before or can direct me to a source . At this stage the sliding bolt is looking like an option . Regards Jim S.

Going by the GMH body records from Woodville , 78 made in 1942 and 1142 made in 1943 , thats taken from the Darwin red book on the history of Holden. But I vaguely remember there is a typo error or something in those figures . Many of the CMP vehicles pictured in that book are incorrectly captioned too ... pity it wasn't proof read before printing went ahead. I guess the bodies would have been railed to other GMH plants for assembly onto chassis'. Mike
