Need lug nuts

Hey everyone! Got my new tyres on, thanks to all for your input and friendly advice. I have a new, small problem; my C15 is missing 4 lugnuts and I would dearly love to find 4 more to install. I've checked the obvious places and local tyre stores around here to no avail. Anyone know of a source for left-hand thread lug nuts? The lug nuts take a 15/16ths socket and I believe the stud is 9/16ths?) I'm sure y'all will correct me if I'm wrong! I also included a pic of the detritus left over after the removal of a very old tyre from a very rusty rim! CHIMO!

Try the Chrysler dealer...They had left hand thread lug nuts up till the '60's..Take in a sample...

I'm assuming the nuts are the red painted ones to hold the halves of the wheel together - they're all right hand thread.

No, I've got all the red painted, larger nuts for the combat rims. I wouldn't want to drive around with any of those missing! It's the plain old lug nuts I'm missing.

Thanks Alex, I'll give them a try. I used to own a 1965 CJ6 that was built by Kaiser when they owned Jeep that had left hand thread lug nuts. Couldn't figure out why the darn things wouldn't come off, until I spotted an "L" stamped on the end of the wheel stud. DOH!

I believe I have a few NOS nuts. I can look on the weekend and make sure they are left hand thread. I can send 4 if US Customs is letting any more "nuts" across the border.

Well, U.S. Customs let this nut across the border! LOL! A few more shouldn't hurt! Speaking of nuts, if any of you M.L.U.types are ever in this neck of the woods, make sure you stop by and look me up.
Kidding aside, let me know what you need for the lug nuts, s. & h. etc. and I'll be glad to mail it forthwith!

I bought both RHT and LHT from Max and they are perfect. A little longer than the original, but do the trick. I think they may be from an old Leyland truck sold here in Australia.

they may be the same as ferret lugs, in that case you might try the G-503 armor section.

Gidday Derek, Ive got 6 LH lug nuts staring at me right now, there off a Chev FAT, so if your still in need of them let me know as my son is flying to your part of the world in a weeks time, when he gets to Montana he can post them to you if that suits. Cheers David...

Update for this thread. Max, your package arrived. Thank you very much! I'd like the entire MLU forum to know how generous it was for both Max Hedges and Dave Ellery to offer without hesitation to ship me lug nuts and studs all the way from Australia and New Zealand. Neither have asked for a penny in compensation! Is such generosity peculiar to the Southern hemisphere? Perhaps it comes from hanging by your feet your entire life! LOL!

The word Chimo is derived from the Inuktitut greeting: “saimo” (saimu) that means “hello,” “goodbye,” “peace be with you,” and similar sentiments. Better to ask what I didn't do to my shoulder:
Played Rugby until I was 35, dirt-biking, hunting, sky-diving, scuba-diving, rappelling, climbing, mountain biking, hockey, baseball, football, I once even carried a Chev small block down stairs into my basement to rebuild it, then, about 4 months ago I loaded 200+ lb. logs into my truck for fire wood. Next day my shoulder hurt a lot...didn't stop hurting so after 3 months of trying to ignore the pain went and had an M.R.I. which revealed torn rotator cuff, frayed bicep tendon, arthritis, bone spurs, and sub-clavian compression. Dang, if I had known I'd live this long I would have paced myself a little better!
