Default ready by Christmas

Went and had a good look at this vehicle today, very tidy job, A motivated owner who says it will be completed by Christmas, and judging by his workshop and attention to detail that wont be a problem. Once its completed I'll post some pictures.

Default Kiwi Carriers

While we're on the subject of Kiwi Carriers, this trailer has appeared for sale on Trade Me. Now I'm not suggesting someone goes out and buys the trailer, but those wheels look awfully familiar!

Tony, you must have time to waste. I've seen a few of these here in N.Z. One of the oil companies did them I believe. They used the carrier wheel centres,(and bearings) and welded them into 16" rims.

Found another one. These would certainly look the part towed behind a carrier on long journeys.

This trailer has both centres marked "TL 94" (British?) and a maker's mark of a "C" in a diamond. One is 1941 and the other 1943.

Post Ready by Christmas

Got the wrong Christmas, but well worth the wait !!!This carriers first cross country outing went of well , a few small snags but up and running she looks, sounds and runs really good. Alot of work has gone into this machine and the attention to detail supports this. Just as much time has been spent in tracking down all the kit which would have been carried aboard, so not to far of we'll have a very impressive carrier indeed.

Talking Good things come to those who wait

Hot out of the camera are these pictures of Peters Carrier. The paint scheme is that of a NZ,19th Infantry Battalion Carrier, Western Desert 1941. Love the Caunter camo scheme.
This Carrier will be fully dressed out in kit etc at a local militaria get together in January so I'll post some more pics then .
