Default FOUND - M37 Windshield Defrost Ducts

FOUND - Thanks Rob for helping me find them

Im looking for a pair of M37 windshield defrost ducts like those illustrated in the attached photo.

I already have one of the large rectangular ducts that extends across the top of the dashboard, but Im looking for the specific ones in the photo. Thanks!

Wayne
I think I have a pair of those. Either I have those, or I have the heater that goes with them, or maybe both. That system used a heater mounted on the inside firewall as opposed to the heater on the fender. I believe those firewall mounted kits were pulled in favour of the fender type kit.

I also saw about 10 of those heater outfits at an old fellows place about 20kms away. He has since passed and I don't think his family is selling anything.

Default Firewall heater

Hi Rob. You are correct, these ducts were associated with a type of 24v standard commercial hot water heater that was used in some M37's, and it was mounted on the inside firewall by the passenger's feet. My truck has this heater.

If you happen to find those ducts and if they are surplus to your needs, Im interested. Thanks!

I think there is an even earlier version of that heater...much more commercial. They came in a M152 that used to be a DND bomb truck and later it was transferred to the Winnipeg police service. I cannibalized it and eventually took the remains to a scrap yard. It was later re-aquired for the Wpg police museum where Derk Derin restored it a few years back. But I think when the truck was initially stripped, all the heater stuff remained here.
If it is here, then it is yours for the asking. I think it is sitting in a M100 trailer in the back 20 hedgerow. Hopefully I did not separate them as scrap.

That's another interesting variation Dave. The heater is slightly different than mine, but similar concept. Maybe this is the variation Rob referred to. Looks like an ambulance...? Is that one of your trucks?
