Hello All, I am posting this for a friend as he is looking to find the Screen material for the Screen that is mounted at the rear on top of the engine covers. He got the frame reproduced and now for the rest.

He gave me this info regarding the material dimensions and wanted to know if anyone out there knows were he would be able to locate some.

Here is the info. that I have on the screen.
. copper /brass
. square dimension: 5/16" x 5/16"
. wire dia. 1.25mm
Need a piece 14 1/2" x 13 1/2".

I don't know what's available in the Canadian market, but in Australia there is a wide variety of woven wire mesh suppliers for the Architectural and Heritage Building industries. Most will have something close, but if not will make a mesh on order (in steel, stainless, copper, brass, etc). Not just your Carrier screen, but also CMP radiator grilles, etc.

Tried local scrap metal yards, wealth of stuff there and if you looking for anything specific they will keep eye out for you.

In the same thought as above, how about Metal Supermarket? They brag about getting anything.

I wheeled in with the M151A2 (your old one) and the guys were so excited to see one. Just about everyone in the entire building swarmed over to see and look at it.

Hi Dave. For sure this style of screen is available in steel or stainless. I am not sure about brass/copper. This type of screen media is used extensively in fine aggregate screening and other types of product screening applications.

I can check with some of the maintenance guys at work to see if they have any in that size, and if so I can likely get you what you need. Again it will be steel or stainless steel though.

There are several manufacturers/distributers around here that can get any size you want. Here is a link to WS Tyler http://wstyler.com/product/industrial-woven-wire-cloth/. There is also Major Wire and others http://www.majorwire.cc/en/content/home

Ill get back to you by PM and let you know if I can get some. If not, Ill get you an Alberta rep contact number from one of the suppliers.
