1940 ford roadster ute

picked this up on the way home from a recent trip to bathurst. in great condition compared to the other roadster utes/trucks we have come across. original canvas is very uncommon.

Interesting that this one, a 1940 model does not have a fold out windscreen. The 39 I am restoring and the 1941 model I have both have fold out screens on raodster cabs. On this one I cant find evidence that it has been modified. The back on this one has been cut down and widened to make a more useful farm tray.

You will find that the fixed screen is original on the 1940 models . I tried to buy one of those 1940 roadster utes from near Junee many years ago, it had the fixed screen same as yours does.

This is the 1940 battery staff roadster ute I was chasing back in 1987 . The owner would not part with it.

Sadly, the elderly owner left it outside and over the years it literally fell to bits .

I heard after he died , a clearance sale was held and it sold for just over 3K $

Interesting AWM pic , in the snow in Syria or Lebanon ?

The last pic may be a scene in Palestine.
