Default Who Is Bubba?

Bubba appears in North American folklore and from all accounts seems to have played an active role in the destruction or modification of a vast number of ex military vehicles. We have his (un-named) opposite number here to.
People can usually be put into one of three basic categories, these are builders , destroyers and the totally inert.
Bubba, being a very resourceful sort of fellow can encompass both ends of the spectrum simultaneously. To build something he must destroy something. Setting out to make something do a job it was never intended to do is his specialty. Surprisingly, this can often be attempted with a great deal of energy particularly in the initial stages. The destruction phase proceeds rapidly then the construction part looms.
We are left to ponder the results of his efforts where they survive at all. Frequently his ideas vastly exceeded his ability. We gather up the remains and try to resuscitate the original or transplant some of the organs into another project.
Yes, Bubba is part of the eco system and you can't hate him but you can sure develop a dislike for what he's done.
Maybe we could have a thread devoted to extreme examples of his work, neglect or abuse.

David

Default Yes when you start asking

Know the feeling when I start talking to myself and find myself, saying Bubba where did you put that big hammer, know it is time to quit and go have a beer.

Cheers Phil

Wow, Phil you're right. So many definitions and some of them quite nasty.
I based my text on the way I've seen Bubba referred to between HMV enthusiasts on a couple of forums.
To be involved in the HMV movement you are obviously in the company of gentlemen. I suppose that comes from inhabiting the 'builder' end of the spectrum.

Cheers

Dave

I guess the definition of "Bubba" to me is someone that can make a small wooden spoon out a pretty nice larger wooden spoon.
