Default Hinge

Hey All

I am looking for a hinge for the top drivers door. I need the part that attaches to the cab but since I have been unable to remove the pin that seperates the 2 pieces I assume that I will have to get both parts.

I am also looking for the part that bolts on the hinge and holds the mirror. If anyone has these parts please let me know as I would really like to finish my cab.

Thanks
Gary

Default Which truck which year?

Hi Gary

To narrow down your search, a little information such as which truck which year, which cab style would help narrow it down.

Assume that you are looking for Chevy.

Some of the Hammond boys may be able to provide information on fabrication. Which year had the discussion of hinges?

Cheers Phil

Gary,

Are these same as Ford?

I'm sure I would have something usable here, but in Ford manufacture.

If it's of any help, let me know.

Default Hinge

Hey Tony

In all the photo's I have seen and looked at, they do appear to be the same between a Ford and Chev. I am attaching a photo of one.

The last one DSC_0072 is the only one that I can see is a Ford however the hinge looks identical to the Chev.

Gary

As a side note these pictures were taken at the Reynold's Museum in Wetaskawin AB several years ago, I have many more pics if anyone wants to see what his yard used to look like.

Gary,

I'm heading out to the workshop soon, so i'll find my best upper right hinge. Can you confirm that it the one you need?

It may have some play in the pin joint. I will get back to you this afternoon.
