I have a 1956 M135. It is still bearing 26 svc bat markings. Door designator is 28K. The fellow I bought it from said it had been at Petewawa until 1980 and I have a several pictures of a truck with the same door marking dated 1968 apparently taken at Petewawa. One picture has a hanging sign with "ROSE" Cantina painted on it. Any one know anything about this truck?
I'm restoring it to Flying Kitchen status. Anything and everything will be helpful and much appreciated. Living just outside of S.S.Marie ON johnhooper@xplornet.com thanks all ![]() More at Post-war vehicles. Last edited by John Hooper; 02-03-12 at 17:14. Reason: Moving to post-war vehicles |

I'm just trying to jog memories.
The guys with 26 service in the Sault, Sudbury and Pet have got to have something. When I get this done I want a water trailer. Thanks all.

Here's the "ROSE" Cantina sign pic.
Also looking for a water trailer. Close to Northern Ontario but I will consider some travel distance. Thanks all.

For starters you can credit the first and third photographs to W.E. Storey Collection.
Thank you. |

I do have to say, that in my old age, I am starting to like the old deuce and a half more and more.
I know to most who know me and my pathological dislike of North American produced items this may sound strange. Now that I am rebuilding a Ferret of Canadian usage I guess i'm warming up or going soft in my old age, I feel I can say that now I have turned 50, recently. I went to look at one in really very good condition with a NOS rear box to go with it last fall. Gent wanted $5,000 firm. Runs and has been registered for the road already. R |
