Question 1953 M38A1 carbureter rebuild kit

Hi guys had to rebuild the carb it was toasted and full of red rot rustdust!
Wondered who to go to for a decent kit for the carter YS950S carb?

I looked on rockautos site but under the 1955 cj5 there are two real options but the parts shown do not look like the ones I really need.

I got a kit from rapco as I ordered paint as well and it has all BUT the one necessary part the rubber cup and diaphram for the metering rod. It has the other rubber diaphram and cup...? I emailed to see if it was supposed to be included...nothing yet. Any thoughts i have heard that Midwest has a good kit...?
thanks

I would throw my vote behind the midwest kit.

I do have a box of spare parts for the jeep and duece carbs and fuel pumps. If you can scan and show me an illustration of what you need I may well have it here.

I'd love to show you a picture here so all could see it but this won't let me make an album and is not clear on how to add a picture to a post or a reply so I'll have to wait for directions from the moderator or email you direct Rob...Thanks

Default Picture of the missing piece

Here is a pic of the missing piece from the car rebuild kit i got the other day from way down Texas way. You can see the old parts and new replacements except the one that did not come with the kit so beware you might not get it either as they have yet to respond to an email and or phone call...? So it probably should be called a partial rebuild kit.

Mid west I guess
