Let's compile a list of our favorite war / military TV doco series we have enjoyed over the years. Be they WW2 or ancient, army or air force.
My two standout favorite TV doco series are: The World at War ( a WW2 series ) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_World_at_War A 1970s series narrated by Laurence Olivier. And Soldiers, a History of men in Battle http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soldier..._Men_in_Battle A 1980s series hosted by Frederick Forsyth. Both of these I only have on VHS taped off the TV. About time a bought them on DVD! Last edited by Ryan; 28-09-11 at 06:46. Reason: grammer |

TV Doco. "One Crowded Hour", the story of Tasmanian cameraman Neil Davis who was responsible for filming some of the most iconic footage of the Vietnam war.
Book of the same name by Tim Bowden. Neil was killed while filming a small uprising in 1985, and filmed that as well. Rich.

Another for me, and one that I actually own on DVD is the 1960s Australian TV series ANZAC. It's usually played on TV on Anzac day ( 7two this year played most if not all of the series over the whole day ).
