Default FS - Lotsa Stuff

Hi everyone... I've been going through my things and ferreting out duplicates of stuff I have (or have acquired) as well as stuff I realistically have no further need for. I wish to offer these things to you first, before I put them on the open market. I think the prices I've assigned each item are reasonable, but by all means, don't hesitate to email me if you think otherwise. I'd just like to see these items going to good homes! Over the next few days there will be several posts, each with pictures. I can email hi-res pics if required.

Payment by PayPal is preferred, although Canadian cheques are OK if sent promptly, plus of course you can always show up here at my door and pay cash. PM or email me as per your requirements.

Thanks,

Jif

(1) DEACTIVATED LONGBRANCH MK.II STEN - this is an outstanding legal deactivation (in Canada only) dated 1943. Excellent for display purposes, refinished, with one pinned magazine and sling. In years past I have owned and fired the original, and you can't tell the difference. $350 gets this delivered anywhere in Canada (sorry, this can't be sold outside the country). If you pick it up here there will be a slight discount.

(2) SMALL MAGAZINE LOADER FOR STEN MAGS - Just a bit of complimentary kit for the Sten. $20 buys it, postage extra.

(3) ORIGINAL 1ST CANADIAN ARMOURED CARRIER REGIMENT CAP BADGE - This is an original 1CACR cap badge, as per all the accepted tenets of judgment. I've had many repros and I DO know the difference. This is a spare I've picked up... I could put it on Epay, but I'd rather let this go to someone here who appreciates it for what it is. $325 buys it, postpaid. There are VERY few of these in circulation, and this one comes with its original pin.

Next...

(4) CANVAS WATER BUCKET - This is marked with a C-Broad Arrow and dated 1944. It is brand new for all intents and purposes and goes with any vehicle used by the Canadians in late WW2. $30 buys it, postage extra.

(5) M6 (Sherman tank) PERISCOPE - An excellent condition example of this item. The optics are clear and the finish is overall outstanding. It is complete and ready for installation. For $30 its yours, plus postage.

(6) ORIGINAL KING'S CROWN IRISH REGIMENT OF CANADA CAP BADGE - The original two-colour badge in excellent condition. $25 delivered in Canada, slightly more if overseas.

(7) M38A1 ORIGINAL SPARK PLUG SOCKET - I bought this in 1980-something for my 'A1. I won't have another, so it's yours if you want it. Make me an offer.

And again...

(8) ORIGINAL FORD DASH PLATE - See the pic. This was taken off a 1942 Ford 15cwt. It needs cleaning up, but it's original, and excellent for a pattern if you're not going to use it yourself. $20 plus postage.

(9) FORD TRUCK INSTRUCTION BOOK - This is not dated, but it's clearly early WW2 issue for Modified Conventional trucks. It covers models 21C, C21D, 21Y, 21T, C29T, C29W, 218T, 218W, C298T, C298W, C11AD, and C298TFS. Used but excellect condition, complete with numerous technical illustrations. Yours for $30 plus postage.

(10) KHAKI OFFICER'S CAP - This is badged FUSILIERS DU ST. LAURENT/ St. Lawrence Fusiliers and is not dated but was manufactured by MUIR CAPS & REGALIA LTD in Toronto. I'm not sure what era this is from (I presume prior to WW2, as the FdSF were incorporated into the Van Doos during the war) but it's up to you historical/collector types to sort it out. The cap is about size 7 (it fits my pinhead albeit tightly) and it's in GOOD condition, with a few small moth holes. The leather band and buttons are excellent. Make me an offer.

(11) EARLY 1800s OCTANT - This item is not dated, but it is almost identical to a picture of one I've seen of a SPENCER, BARRETT & CO octant I've seen online. I know this is late 18th/early 19th century because octants were replaced by sextamts in the early decades of the 19th century. Perhaps one of you might find this a useful bit for your nautical collection - I have no idea how this came down through the family, as we haven't a nautical bone in our bodies. I'm asking $400 for this, which is probably low, but what the hell.

The Sten, M38A1 socket, the Ford book and plate and the octant are spoken for. All the rest is still up for grabs!
