I managed to find some NOS seat cushions for mine. ( Returned from the Falklands) I'll photograph and measure them later.

These are my cushions. 14.5" front to back of the D shape, 14.25" wide, 3" thick. There are seven layers of a horse hair/felt material.

hi, thanks ron for the pics, I have since borrowed that exact same seat cushion you have sent a picture of. I have also got an original cover, which i think is a rear square seat cover.
The seat picture you have sent a picture of, could it be a T16 carrier cushion or a late universal carrier cushion?. The reason i ask is it is made from different material than a 1941 cushion and has chrome snaps on the back. my seat frames have two 'lift the dot' securing pins on the front of the frame, the seat cushion must of been secured by these, the rear seat cover i borrowed would tie up with the front seat frames as it has two 'lift the dot' flaps at the front and two cutouts at the rear for hooking over, but it is a square shape with piping all the way round. I also have a original front seat back cushion and a new old stock very rear seat pad, what is suprising about this is, it has not seen the light of day for 68 years, dated 1941 and shows the true seat colour which is a bright bottle/emerald green. if anyone can tell me different i plan to make a front cushion based on my original carrier rear cushion and make it the same shape as ron's pictured cushion, and have two tabs with 'lift the dot' fastners on the front (straight at the front curved at the rear). any comments, i will try and post some pics of what i have. cheers kevin. ![]()

Hi, Since checked out the carrier FUC-03 parts catalogue illustations 49 and 50 shows ron's seat cushion, interestingly it shows a spring type pad, co1uc 105812 and a pad, co1uc 105813. i think i might have both these items fitted with desert use seat covers?????, see thread 'seats for Mcdells'.
these seat covers are in the washing machine as we speak !, 90 degrees wash to remove years of grime, hope they dont shrink. I have a feeling nothing is hard and fast, with different manufactures and year changes i guess variations are expected. if anyone can contribute anything here to 'bottom this one out' much appreciated. Also got a rear wooden seat back original for a sutton harness if anyone needs dimensions. Also were can you get those lift the dot fastners, We need the ones for the wooden boards which attach via the threaded set screws, i have looked at most suppliers which do not supply this type of 'dot', see 'seats for Mcdells' thread, Jordans posted a picture up.
