			Hi All, Did the Mk1 Carrier every have exhaust guard heat shields 1942 built on the rear panel behind the mufflers?.

			The Cdn mk1 had the ones with the asbestos(?) sheet behind each muffler. The photo you are showing is of a mk2 I believe, since it does not have the square holes on either side of the diff mounting hole.

			The 12th picture in the thread linked below shows the Mk1 style of heat sheilds.  I guess with the Mk2 they came up with the idea to cover them in thin steel to protect the sheets from wear and tear.
