Default Yass show 2008

Held over the March 8-9 weekend in 2008 the Yass show is growing to be one of the larger MV shows in Australia with 9 CMPs, 5 Jeeps, Carrier and various other vehicles. One feature of the show is the tractor pull where the Hedges LP2A showed it's strength (although we don't know who won yet).

The pics came from Max, taken I think by Emma.

More of the tractor pull here.

Here are a couple of pics of the grouped vehicles. Starting to look like Corowa!

Default who won ??

Keith I would say our carrier won the carrier class as it was the only one in it
next year we should enter a blitz against the carrier or a chev against a ford
Arron entered the jeep this year but I missed that one
we also had a steam roller have a pull and and he put on a realy good show

Well done Uncle Max and what a great photograph looking through the truck cabs, that is a brilliant perspective. And as Jif said, that's just Yass. We got it all here.

Default Yass show

Great pictures indeed. What is the story behind the deep blue CMP? An interesting colour, I kinda like it.

What was the weight you were pulling?? and over what distance?

I got back from displaying vehicles at steamfest here where the tractor pulling association runs at the same time with tractors, modified tractors, 4wd's, modified 4wd's and ride on mowers. I entered a couple of years ago along with a mates V8 M37, but it's a fair strain on everything on the driveline. I don't know what the smaller pulling rig weighed, but the big one I think is a 4 ton deadweight when it comes right forwards.

An original RAAF colour as used on the Pacific Fire Tender.
