Hi,

I found these on a recent visit to South America. They have had the front axles removed, but I have located 3 replacements.

There are 3 of these tractors. I have located vast amounts of new CMP spares.

I am not sure what these are worth. Any interest let me know.

Chris

Hi Bob,

Shipping is not too bad! I have already shipped some vehicles from this location. I have another 5 vehicles coming shortly.

In the same yard as thes 3, there are about 20 F15a but they are in pretty poor condition! The F15s are probably not worth shipping but these gun tractors must be fairly scarce!

I have tons of pics, but i seem to be only able to post 1 at a time.

Default Warehouse

There are 1000's of parts still packed and marked Ford Canada!

I have a container coming in about 2 weeks. If anybody needs anything specific I will check if it's available.

Are these carrier lights? There were about 200 of them!!

Those headlights are used on the mark 2 carrier, as well as the CMPs. Beside them are a bunch of the grenade bins for the Mark 1 carriers. Underneath the headlights are boxes of clutch covers (pressure plates) for the 38-53 Chevs.

Looks like a fantastic honey-hole.

Default Holy toledo!!!!!

You really got something there Chris.

The Gun tractors seem to be Ford from the shock absorber I can see.

But what about all those parts.

Start cataloguing the parts you have first that should keep you busy for a while and will drive us crazy waiting to see the list. You may be a very busy men!!

Cheers

Default A suggestion....

... you might consider getting a repro parts manual, one for Ford and one for Chevrolet, so you can accurately identify the various parts from the box description and parts number.

Good luck.

Default Every once in a while...

...an utterly amazing thread appears here on MLU. This is one.

The FATs are I think the 7B2 type, the very last design. It seems there were quite a few over there.

The spares are amazing... I am gobsmacked as I am sure are many others.

More pics please!!

Hi,

I will get a good selection of spares in the next container. I won't be able to work out prices until they arrive here in the UK.

They do know the value of the spares and don't seem to be in any rush to sell them. They have owned them for at least 40 years. Obviously I will have to take into account shipping cost and import duty port charges etc.

I should get a photo of the mirrors tomorrow.

If anyone is interested in any of the vehicles let me know.

Chris

Terrific find, Chris! Makes one wonder just how many more of these treasure troves of CMP Spare Parts are still tucked away in all the various countries that purchased large quantities of the CMP's etc. post war. The big players like Pounds and Levys are long gone now, but there are probably a lot of smaller operations off the beaten track, with significant, yet to be discovered quantities of NOS spares.

Congrats!

David

Chris,
If you find the shift knobs that belong to a carrier, as shown in picture 3 of #31 on this page (2), I would like 2 please if available.
Great find, you must be still trying to take it all in. Good luck, and ... a very lucky find.
I hope all can benefit from your good fortune. Will be following this thread or any other related to this for further progress.
Doug

Chris,

Did you happen to ship one (or all three) of these rare beasts to the UK, perchance?

Hanno
