Max Hedges has sent me some images of a 109 wireless set and would like information on it's operational use.

109 set, etc
Saw this post, something twigged in my mind, went down to my radio room, checked out my recently aquired UC 10 line switchboard.
Well, well, well,....Look what I found... Nameplate on switchboard is as follows... YA/CAN/BR 2669 Switchboard 10 line,Mk 2, Serial..... Now, check this out....... Standard Telephones and Cables, MFG, CO(Canada) Ltd, Montreal. I wonder what the war-time connection betwen PTY and LTD was?

Did you mean the PTY LTD in this shot? This simply means shares in the company are limited to the owners.

Hi all,
I believe that one usage of the R109 set was in combination with the No. 76 set to make a rear link, directly to GHQ or what have you. Rob |
