			62 years ago today World War II ended with the agreed upon cease fire orders. Lest we forget.

			Today, 9th May is Liberation Day in the Channel Islands, when the Germans surrendered formally. The only part of the British Isles invaded by the Germans had been ravaged and ordinary citizens starved and deported.

			Few days late but interesting.  This piece of paper was loose in a book I had borrowed from a friend of mine.  I know its a copy but it still figured it was worth scanning. 
		
		
		
			I have to wonder how many men and women at the time sat back and said something along the lines of"its finaly over" as these orders were passed down to all units.
