....came across this picture of the Israelis harvesting at their "tank farm" . Notice the full ripe green colour and the trunk bending from the weight of the full grown tank, ready to be picked and crewed.

Either that or its " I swear I heard someone crawling around down there, lets just fire a couple off to be sure" Sean

And hence the way they earn their names zipperhead. That incident may have caused more than zippers mind you.

...zipperheads. Well it does make for easy component change out...ie: battle hardened warrior printed circuit board for henpecked house husband printed circuit board

There might have been an Evil Knevil fan driving and they wanted to jump that gorge. Sean

Aah yes, Israel is truly the land of milk and honey, with the fruit of the tank tree scattered about for anyone to come along and pick up. Here's a few I collected while there:

That pic doesn't surprise me in the least having seen first hand how the I.D.F. roars around the Golan Heights like they own it or something! I had the crap scared out of me more than once during my rotation by a Merkava suddenly appearing from brush approaching the highway at full speed. The rules of the road don't carry as much weight when a 60 ton MBT travelling 55kph is approaching and you're in a small Nissan P.U. truck! I think they used to enjoy scaring U.N. members by appearing to be preparing to cross the highway right in front of you, then cranking a hard turn and running along the shoulder at top speed just 10 feet from your vehicle! Right of way? Lo, toda! I believe Sean's pic is of a Merkava Mk II, so was probably taken before my trip there in 1998-1999. All I ever saw were Mk III's. CHIMO!
