Could someone please measure up the shovel handle portion i have circled. I’m needing to make this piece.

Default (...it was Easter...it was cold....)

5-1/4" wide
2-11/16" tall (from the base plate you have)
2-5/8" to the top of the side pieces
1" O.D. width of side pieces
4-11/16" width of the top lip

Welded on outside (so not the shovel handle side) along the long side, not the rounded corners, and again on the side pieces.

Let me know if you need more.

I get 2-1/2 high with a 1/4 inch lip rounded at the back. The wings measure 1" from the back of the bracket to the front edge of the wings, but you can ascertain that from the bottom plate you have.

Thanks very much. That should cover me off for making it. I do know there was variations in the height although I believe it was to hold two shovels.

I don't think two would fit in the spade end bracket. Besides, if you think you would ever get two shovels the same length and shape from QM, you have never been in the army. There is a reason they made the bracket you show adjustable for length.
