Working on the C15A and having problems finding correct checkerplate for CMP cab and box floors. Anybody shed some light?

On my three trucks there are several different styles of plate. HUP has a square pattern in the rear and the more typical crosshatch in the front of the cab and on running boards. The C60 Pattern 13 has same typical crosshatch cab and and running boards.
The C60L Pattern 12 has a crosshatch with a dot in the middle on the cab floor very heavy and a lighter crosshatch on the running board.

Hi Phil
I have checked with a few metal fabricators/suppliers..... the dot cross hatched pattern was discontinued in the 40s...... cna't find it anymore....unless you find some old plates in a constructed set up in an industrial complex somewhere. My box plate is the modern cross hatched... only the cab floor has the dot pattern. Good Luck.... Bob C.

As soon as I can get my long john all buttoned up the back side...... of course ai will need a blow torch to melt the snow and ice off the darn thing..... while holding the flashlight in my left nostril.... I have to breadth through my mouth my nose is plugged on account of the pneumomia......
Just kidding.... the forecast is -29C with -40 C-o-o-l-l-ld-d-d Celcius degrees for tomorrow morning........ Do you know how cold that is????? when I go out to talk to a neighbour I have to heat up a cast iron skillet and take it out with me.... we talk into the hot pan or our words will freeze up and can't hear a darn thing with the ear muffs and the tuque and the hood over our heads...... You Florida guys have it easy... sure its windy once in a while but your CMPs never blow away...... Maybe Phil has his cab 12 in his heated carpeted fully insulated workshop...... ...got to go..... need more wood in the furnace. Bob C.

Hi Bob
Well it is a little bit cold down here right now -18 C with a 20 mph wind coming in off the lake. But your right the trucks are in the shop which I keep above freezing when I'm not out working. But is was cold enough in the garage where the floor plates for the Pattern 12 is that the florescent lights won't work. Jim and Jonathan Attach picture of the different floor patterns used by Chev. If these are not large enough drop me a line and I’ll post larger higher resolution on my web site.

Good pictures.....
I could never get to my floor plates as they are outside.... ....exactly like my dot and dash checkerplate on the floor of the cab 11. However that square dot on the rear floor is new to me....... wonder who else might have encountered a similar pattern...assuming the rear floor is the original one in you HUP. What do the boys down under have to say on that pattern???? Keep it warm Phil..... I have the same problem with the tubes in my barn..... people wonder why I have two systems...regular bulbs and fluorescent fixtures........ Hope to see you next Summer Bob C.

Just as a BTW, my '45 HUP has all the 13 pattern plate as posted by Phil W - except the rear floor is upside down. The PERS-3 staff cars had linoleum flooring, so they just flipped the piece. Crawl underneath, and the square-button pattern is on display.

Haven't found anything yet, but I haven't looked that hard. I have some samples of the original stuff that came off the wheelhouses when I took them off.
I was thinking as well as trying flooring suppliers, might be worthwhile to inquire at art supplies places, as printmakers still prefer to use the smooth battleship lino for linocut block prints rather than the newer grainier stuff. Might be source for pressboard material for the cab liner, too.
