I’m about to start rebuilding the shocks for my Otter restoration. I’ll be following the information in the maintenance manual. However does anyone have any advice on replacing/rebuilding the rubber bushing on the arm pivot?

If my memory is OK, Bob Carriere sourced NOS shock links of similar bushing style from Vintage Power Wagons.

More info needed .
Is that a rubber bushing inside the pivot point ? It.looks like the bushing slips over a short shaft or stud . But what stops the bushing from coming out ? It looks like the short stud will have to press out or grind the end off ? You could machine up a new poly bushing on a lathe. Poly bushings are now widely used in suspension components. If you don't have a small lathe, you really should get one. You will be making all types of stuff with it. More info. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/ar...hane-bushings/ BTW Delrin is easy to buy. I recently machined up some Delrin O scale model railway wheels for a friend. Good luck .
