Hello
Currently having C15A looked at for a death wobble and the mechanic found the bushings in the steering column (Part 32 and 33 in the one picture) were badly worn. I am trying to find replacement parts. I ordered from LWD Parts the bushings, steering gear pitman shaft. The bushings are just slightly smaller in OD then the original ones and so would not fit in properly. Otherwise I have no idea where to find ones that will fit...any help would be greatly appreciated. Measure the diameter of the hole the bushing came out of and also measure the diameter of the new shaft. This will give you the bushing size required. If you can’t find a replacement of the needed size, a machine shop can easily turn down an oversized bushing to fit.

Depends on how loose the new bushings are ?
If it is less than .002" you might get away with using high strength loctite but because it is a steering component, Jordan's suggestion is usually how this problem would be repaired. You need to carefully measure the bush holes in the housing at 180 degree locations because the original bush holes in the housing may be worn to a oval shape which makes it even more complicated, if that is the case, then you might be better off finding another steering box. You can buy a set of bore gauges online pretty cheap. A machine shop will make some new oversized bushes for you and fit them. The new bushes will then need to be reamed to the final size after they have been pressed in to the housing. It is not a job for the home workshop, it requires special tooling.
