Photos wanted:Bedford MW & NAAFI truck
May I please appeal for any shots of a Bedford MW 15-cwt G/S truck and also of men queueing at a NAAFI truck? This is for a HERITAGE COMMERCIALS magazine article...not written by me I add! Reward: free copy of the magazine at least, sent post-paid.

Are you looking for World War 2-era pictures of the Bedford MW, or will pictures of a restored example also do? I have some pictures of a restored late model Bedford MWD. Please let me know, Alex van de Wetering

Not quite sure what you mean there. Are those photos not suitable or are you concerned about copyright? I am totally sure they are factory shots and even though from Mike's "collection" should be usable. I got them in July of 1968 so they are probably "new" to the current generation. On the other hand, if you need more/different pics please let me know as I am reasonably sure I can dig some more up at least of the Bedfords. Bill

Bill I am very grateful. However if you could e mail me the pix as attachments to the best res you can send [I have 1 MB Broadband] I can then send them on for the mag...they want to blow up and print so they have to be TIF when I send them. I just convert jpgs sent to me to TIF if truth be known!
Thanks for mentioning copyright as it is a sore subject with Bedford photos that are not say from overseas. Vauxhalls own the copyright on their factory photos. Who gets the credit please ... whose collection officially???

I will have to wait until tonight to try to resend the pics. As to the credit, they are all from the same batch, same date and two of them have stamped on the back M.P. Conniford and his then address so that is what I can tell you. Re copyright issues I do believe I read on this board that the UK is or already has extended the former 50 year rule so I guess you have to deal with that although I cannot see why GM would give you a hard time. Free publicity etc. etc. Bill
