C42 Set Original Paint Colour
Anyone know what colour of paint Plessey used on their factory new C42 Set equipment? It looks to me like a bit of a Bronze Green gloss or semi gloss. I would like to be able to repaint a tray assembly, but it has occurred to me this paint might not be available, either premixed or by formula, anywhere in Canada. Not sure how the Canadian Army would have dealt with any painting issues for the C42 during it's time with the CAF.

I was checking on a UK Wireless forum and got the following response regarding the original C42 paint colour. Thought I would pass it along in case anyone else has been looking for it:
"I believe it is BS381C colour chart, #298 Olive Drab Gloss. Your best bet is to check your local paint suppliers to see if they can mix it up. I know Aervoe makes it in Olive Drab semi-gloss and could be had through your local Aervoe dealer in Winnipeg." Cheers, David |

I painted a C42 tray. Went to local Colour Your World retail store with a control box as an example.
They scanned it, typed in a formula, et voila, a one pint can of the correct tolour.
