Australian carrier assembly - helpful hints and traps
As suggested by Lynn, this thread covers hints and traps when assembling LP2 and LP2a Australian carriers.
We have all turned a simple job into a major job at some point so if we can learn from others mistakes it can make this hobby more rewarding. On simple job I did that turned into a big job was to fit the steering cross tube into the hull upside down, it wasn't until I got the cam plate in I found the cam rollers only just contacted the cam plate.

I also suggest that you take lots of photos before pulling things apart and also photos as you go. Sometimes it maybe 2 or 3 months before you return to it to rebuild. This is recommended as it helps in the long run.

 (Do they really have "TOP" stamped on them?)Maybe I should direct my question this way? EUAN!, Do the bevels on the blocks go up or down? (as this was intended to be a helpful thread) (every body with an LP2 has probably been out to have a look by now)

Lynn, The bevel goes to the top. I will try and dig out some pics.
