Default Guernsey 70th liberation celebrations

Here is Mike Burns' HUP and the C15ta at Portsmouth waiting for the ferry to Guernsey.

After a very rough crossing we arrived safely!

Default A few CMPs in Guernsey

A brilliant trip to Guernsey to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation.

Very well organised by Stuart, Paul and the rest of the GMVG team.

The F60 was driven up from Switzerland, and not surprisingly won the trophy for "Furthest Driven"

James, John,

Thanks for sharing pics. Judging by the below pic, seems it was hard work and bad weather

James, what is the new insignia/shield below your wife's name and could you please send a close up?
Barry

Hi Barry,

It is the symbol for Force 135, the liberators of the Channel Islands in 1945. A friend had some magnetic ones made up for the parade.

I see many familiar vehicles taking part. Looks like a good time was had by all!

Default Sitting Here Reading MLU Next To Me My Wife Reading a Book About Guernsey

Hi

Sitting in the recliner with tablet in my lap reading MLU look over and my wife is reading Guernsey Literary Society and Potato Peel Pie Society a fiction book about life in during the occupation, starts with hiding a pig.

Just sort of a small world when I remember this thread.

Cheers Phil
