Anyone need a 4' x 8' piece of hot-rolled sheet steel? It's 16-gauge and just around the corner from me... the guy wants $50 for it. He'll hold it until I say yea or nay. Speak now or forever hold your peace!!

I'd take it if it was 18ga. Next question; does the thickness increase as the numbers decrease - like shotguns and wire gauges?

So now that I've agreed to buy a 4x8 sheet of steel, can you roll it up and drop in the mail? Seriously, how does something like that get from one place to another?

Well, I s'pose I could just put a lot of stamps on it an' write your name and address on it in crayon...

It only weighs about 80 lbs, so I reckon you'd need nothing more than a pickup truck.

You could also cut it up and then weld it up at the other end. But hang on, we had better keep this thread serious.
