The article on Pearson's Garage in Liverpool first appeared in the December 2002 issue of HERITAGE COMMERCIALS magazine. This was quite an eye-opener.
The new book on the development of the CMPs has been written by me and is ready to roll. Further issues will have the pictorial history of Pearson's assembly plus say General Motors Limited, and then more in the same vein. However I need to ask a serious question: do people want to see a Corgi CMP model as good as the latest Diamond T one? Let Professor Alan Earnshaw have the com: "..have suggested that they might like to do the CMP as a model for their World War II Collection Range. It might be worth your writing a short paper of say a couple of hundred words to support the idea, and say why the CMP would be a good model to model, if you know what I mean". If we did press them to do a CMP, which one? C/F60L? Gun Tractor? Really it ought to be one not done before..why not a C60X? |

Could you tell us the title of your new CMP book and give particulars such as the publisher? I suspect I will want one as will the readers of this forum.

I'll let you know the title, but the publishers will be the same outfit as various other books on commercials, TRANS-PENNINE PUBLISHING.
I hope to write a series of books although some will be mostly pictorial which is going to be a "vehicle" for collections of photos never seen before. |
