Is this a trick question? It depends how good the repro is! If it is an exact copy in every detail, you could only tell by it's newness

OK Rich. I have no idea if they were stamped with a part No originally (very probably). So you need that confirmed by someone who has wings off there carrier. I also can't think what AE stands for? Ron

the ones that came with my carrier are as per yours Lynn... the outer edge is rolled and the inner is welded.... which is as per the ones I have just bought... stripped the hundreds of layers of paint off them today, one fender has three strange holes in a triangular pattern, two on the front parallel with the forwardmost edge and the third is centre on the radius part....if that makes any sense.

I have 10 front fenders some good some bad .Most of them have CTL 7195 or CTL 7196 ,some with just TL 7916 all with FM Co 42 One is stamped CTL 14331 which is a back mud guard number ??. two have just FMCo 42 only on them . The FMCo is on the left side and the other numbers are on the right side .they will be under the plate that bolts them to the fender. Even the MK1 10128 carrier has the FMCo 42 front guard

I have been looking at pics and on some early carriers there is the plaque you mention, I presume that is what the holes are for

Early carriers had the PASS sign placard on them, on the front left fender and I think it was on the rear right but it's hard to remember now. Brian Asbury has these listed under the CMP trucks section, but they also belong on Mk1s.
