Sir,
Welcome to the club. I have some U'Carrier bits - few for T-16. The olde forum used to reference a guy in North Carolina, USofA who had some spares - mostly bearings and minor whatnots. Sadly, I only have a box of NOS carb float bowls for your restoration. I will be happy ![]() Stewart Beachville, Ontario Canada |

Jeff email me with what you need for your restoration by way of pictures etc. I should have a good selection of pictures to help you. Send a pic of yours as well please and any manufacturers numbers you may have as I run the register for all carriers.

For everyones info,
I bought all the parts for T-16"s that Were in North Carolina. My business name is Rod Shavers MV Parts, and I specialize in parts for WW2 vehicles.I am restoring a T-16 myself, so I was lucky to track down these parts. Believe me, there was more than a few bearings and seals in the pile. I have a fairly large list of parts available, and I am reproducing many parts for the T-16 as well. Call me @ 480-893-2201 to order parts or to just talk carrier. My e-mail address is scoutcarrod@cox.net I am restoring mine back to the original condition during WW2, quite a chore as mine was one of the swisserized ones from southeastern equipment. Hi, Nigel! Did you recieve my e-mail? Hope to hear from you soon! Rod

Jeff
nice to hear from another T16 owner. I own the t16 kept at Bletchley Park, which isn't that far away. I do have some spare parts so give us a call. Tel 01923775785. If you have a photo of your carrier try posting it. There are very few old wartime photos of T16's, But I can ashore you they were there. I have posted a photo I have resently recived. Look closely in front of the Churchill is a T16. his photo shows 30 corp and was taken late 1944 at Cleve, Holland. Regards Barry |

Barry,
We just had a Military vehicle show here in Phoenix, Az. this last weekend. One of the members of one of the reenactment groups here is actually a WW2 veteran of the German Army. He was in the Caen area when the D-Day Invasion began. I told him I was restoring a Bren Gun Carrier, and he Immediately replied that his unit captured a couple of them. Then he said he could still remember driving them and that they steered with levers! Obviously captured T-16s Rod Shaver

Mr. Shaver mentions German capture of carriers with steering levers following D-Day.
Let's not forget that in all probability these were Lloyd carriers which also use steering levers. |
