It's a Meadows gearbox with Wilson epicyclic steering units as fitted to Covenanter and Crusader.

A few Covenanter bridgelayers reached Australia, so that might be the answer to how it got there. There is one at the Lancers Museum at Parramatta.

Thankyou Gentlemen

I was thinking along those lines but wasent sure. Its a pitty that the one at Parrammatta has spent the last 50 years outside as it was very complete.

I would like to give it a new home !

Many thanks
Matt
