Default International Instrument Panel

Hi all - branched out a bit and have just completed this restoration for a mate from an International KB4. Apart from replicating the instrument faces, the rest was easy as the speedometer head and gauges are the same as used in the Ford Blitz.

Hi, Bob. What is the Stewart Warner number of the Speedo? It looks like 579K J4.

Hi Tony -number is 579V J4 that would translate to an April 1941 manufacture. I have two others, 579V P5 (May 1946) & 579V J2 (Feb 1941). The latter was hard to read and I thought it was an (I) but there is no coding for that letter so it has to be (J).
579V appears to be the coding for the International KB Series for at least 1941-1946.
Other codings ex. my speedometers appear to be;
579X - silver faced 60mph with gear quadrants.
579AE - brown faced 60mph - no gear quadrants.
579P - brown faced 100mph.
Bob
