A little do at the MOTR today, opening of the Italian Campaign gallery which will be open for the next 9 months. Donny Munro (pictured) was a Trooper in the 15th Alberta Light Horse - an honest to God horse cavalryman - in 1939. Joined the Calgary Highlanders, became Platoon Sergeant Major (WO III) when such things existed, commissioned, and went to Italy in 1943 as a replacement subaltern.
