A few of you have asked me about seeing some pics of my GS No1 wooden body. Try the following link and click on the photo filenames there. Enjoy.

That is a very rare item. I hope that you have it well under cover out of the hot W.A. sun ! . It would be great to get hold of drawings . Did you pass technical drawing at high school Rod !

Hi Rod,
Got a call about 3 weeks back from a fellow in Esperance who has a C15 and was chasing parts. The usual - windscreen frames and spare 16" rims. He is in a Vintage car or truck club in Esperance and the C15 is nearly finished. When I asked him to describe the truck he said it was two wheel drive, SWB, pushed in nose and a wood tray on the back. He replaced the rotten wood but used all the original fittings as it "looked like an army tray". I asked for photos and he said he would send me some soon. You never know, and he's closer to you than me! Also got a call from a museum type person from the Dwellingup area who wanted to preserve a "chev army truck" and had heard about the heap of lend-lease parts I have. He was undecided as to preserve the vehicle or pass it on to someone who would "do it up". After describing the vehicle it turned out to be a Chev long nose truck, 2wd, swb, wood tray and still in its military paintjob. No, I didn't tell him it was common and not worth a pinch of pooh but I was ever so slighty tempted to. |

Hi Wayne, If you hear from that bloke again, give him my contact number. I have got a stack of spare 16" rims here. Besides I would love to see his truck.
Cheers Rod |
