Default Map Reading Light Sheild

Guys,
A very good freind of mine dropped off a very rare piece of kit today. See attached photos of said piece. It's a map reading sheild, fitted to gun tractors and anti aircraft tractors. Personally, I've never seen one, has anyone else come across one, either fitted or not ?. Internally, it looks like it was once painted white, with a light at one end, and a cover which moves though about 90 degrees. Look forward to any feedback on this one.
Regards
Keith

Default As found on the passenger side of HUP

Hi Keith

Always amazing what little bits of kit turn up from friends. Below is the same shield unit as found on my C8A HUP.

Cheers Phil

I found one and had it fitted to my HUP as well. A rare item but not a very complicated affair.

Guys,
Thanks to one and all for the feedback on this one. Phil, that picture from your C8A HUP is just what I was looking for, as I welded up the holes on my LAAT, not realising that this should have been fitted there !. Using a mirror and light, I can just about make out the original holes, on the backside of the A bar. So, I guess this is a little job I need to complete over the winter, has anyone a spare switch plate they would like to part with ?
Thanks again
Keith
