Canvas roofs

Hi has anyone got any good photos hidden away of the canvas roofs as listed in nigels book number 2 on page 274, or can anyone shed any light on how the canvas was attached around the gunners position.
i have come to a complete blank i think its a spring loaded strap the misses says its more like a rubber type strap we did both agree that how ever its fixed it locates on a stud LOL.
