Default Service markers

Hello MLU People,

Could anyone provide a drawing or photo of what sort of markings trucks would have for the 2/1 PNR BN? Australia

My grandfather enlisted with the Army on the 31st of May 1940 and he served with 2/1 PNR BN in its 3rd reinforcement. His service records state he served overseas ME disembarked 03.05.41.

Also what would the letters PNR BN mean? He was my mother's dad and made it through until the end of the war. Is ME the Middle East?

The letters IMD come up under the column Place of Causality - where was IMD or what does it stand for? The IMD is dated from 02.04.42 Sometimes the handwritten entries the "I" sort of looks like a "2"

Kind Regards
Lionel
