There is to be an Air show on the 6 April 2008 at Albury (NSW) Airport, more info can be found at the link provided.
The Rotary Clubs of Albury/Wodonga would like as many Historic Military Vehicles as possible to attend. The vehicles will be parked in a static display location (close to the WW2 aircraft parking area I am told) with the vehicle owners co-located with their vehicles. Security will be provided overnight for the vehicles and also the event. Vehicles can be pre-positioned on the Saturday at 1500 to 1600 hrs, or positioned 0700 hrs Sunday morning. The event opens to the public at 0900 hrs and should finish up at 1630 hrs approx. 1 vehicle in allows 1 person entry. Online tickets are $15 or on the day $20 per adult, $10 per child. Saturday night will be a 3 course meal provided in one of the airport hangers for $60 per head, they are expecting 600 people, there will be entertainment by movies/clips and aviation presentations and the Army band from Wagga Wagga will be playing. tables of 10. More info located at http://www.alburyairshow.org/home/index.htm If more details are required please contact myself or the vehicle event co-ordinator Graham Searle on 0412 572 859. If anyone requires assistance with accommodation please contact myself. I am planning on attending with my Ford Jeep and Dodge WC-52. I do require notice before 9 Mar 08 if you wish to attend with a Historic Military Vehicle so that the organisers can allocate space, they are looking at a WW2 theme, but the more the merrier. |
