That's two two hour episodes of the most entertaining TV I've watched in years!!
I can especially relate to the problems they had with the Comet mantlet and was amazed at the job on the Panther(s). Restorations at a truly professional level. And to think, MV restoring is actually being shown on prime time television. What a swell program. I hop it lasts for a dozen seasons before going into re-runs. |

Hi
Saw the Sherman restoration at the Isle of Wight Military Museum and the next episode was an M18 Hellcat by the crew in Tooele Utah. Very interesting stuff. The welding of two Sherman halves together was a treat to watch and listen to. The laser cutting of replacement Hellcat parts done in a CAD/CAM computer program was something most cannot access Of note is the common theme in some of these these restoration sponsors: "Mr X is very wealthy!!" ![]() Still good viewing, in any case. More on tonite!! regards Darrell |
