Come on Max show us the rest of your find, no just the teaser pictures. Loooks like another rescue mission for the Mitsu Oil Burner

Default Dodge

Mark

The truck belongs to Kathy's cousin so it looks like another eventual member for our club with yet another military vehicle.

Cliff

We can certainly measure the springs but you will have to give us time to organise that, We'll try and get a photo in daylight so you can see the whole truck someday, it's apparently a gooer.

Default One from Bandiana

Here's the data plate from a Dodge passed in at auction a couple of years ago.

Thanks Max I appreciate that. It was very silly of me to forget to measure the springs on the one at Kingaroy.

cheers

Default Numbers

The Canadian DND records do not show the number sent to Australia and Egypt but I am guessing here:

AUSTRALIA
1942 D60-L T-110-L-5 Serials # 91021501-91025100

EGYPT:
1942 D60-L T-110-L-4 Serials # 91018501-91021500

although some of the Egypt [Alexandria] deliveries evidently ended up being issued to the AIF and thus many must have gone on to Australasia.

Default Loaner

Now that your fleet has grown again Max can I borrow this unit for the back to the track trip? The Toy Dodge Weapons carrier is back in pieces as I modify the modifications for a bit mor top end oil flow.

Nice one, Max!

Hey, Russell, maybe you should just whack the old sidebanger into your bus...

Default I wish I could have a V8 rumble

I admit it would have a nice sound but it would be down about 80 HP from were I will be once the Toy Dodge is back on the road. And I will need of of those extra herb to Tow Robbie home because as we all know chevs go
BANG, BANG STOP all the time, fords dont throw a leg out of bed or knock the top of pistons.
If the toy Dodge makers hadnt used the Chev engine as a template for their motor and copied a Ford V8 or a Dodge 6 sidebanger my world would be in a better place.

Hey, Max have you got it going yet?

I know of a good duo - a mechanic and sparky close to you with old truck experience!

Just look out for that tour guide chappie if he turns up with some engine removing spanners.

Will most likley have a go at starting the new toy on saturday.(he has already had a go and it did turn over) It has been at least 20years since the dodge has been going.
Max

Hey Russell are you talking about the same kind of fords that break points, get flooded while driving through a creek, break a water pump and have to be towed out of camp becaus someone spilt water on the distributor cap while filling up the radiator. All this happening within ten days. Do you rember that?

Oh and who was the gear grinder that drove it half way home?

Hi Max
I think its time the Highways Department built you some new tunnels unless you can get your sheep to start driving.

Default Yay!

Good to see. Is that the shape of a Mr. Farmer I can see?

And the blue smoke - is that a permanent feature of this engine or just the oil from freeing it up?

Have you driven it yet? (silly question)

Brakes? Who needs 'em!

Default Farm tracks

Max, you'll have to get in a grader to make some new left-hand drive tracks around the farm - with gates hinged on the right!

I assume those big round crash barriers on the left of the picture are adequate then

I suppose it will be handy for when those Canadians come over so that somethhing will feel like home, but after a few aussie rums they might be a dangerous health hazard.

It's starting to run a lot better and freeing up after storage for 20 odd years.
