Rifle clip brackets

I was at my friends place the other day a the topic of the rifle clips came up and their mounting brackets. As I have a cab 13 I have seen the longer bracket for them but he had 3 different types, The longer one I have seen in the cab 13s and 2 shorter styles one strait and one bent and my question is what were the 2 different shorter ones used in possibly the cab 11 and 12s ??

Also he had a couple different rifle clips ones black and ones in a grey coating and marked 1940 and 44
